Mark DeMuro lives and works in New York City. In addition to making art, he has over thirty five years experience working as a private art dealer, curator, lecturer and consultant. He has advised collectors, curators, dealers, galleries, and corporations on building collections and making acquisitions of Modern and Contemporary art. He has worked with Impressionist, Modern, and Abstract Expressionist paintings, Minimalism, and especially POP art and art from the 1980s to the present. He has lectured for private banking groups at Art Basel Miami, and the Armory Show, NY. You can contact Mark to discuss selling or purchasing art for your collection.
Mark DeMuro was a Founder and Director of the Beaux Arts Foundation and The Downtown Arts Club. He curated 11 shows in Lower Manhattan after Sept. 11, 2001 to help with the recovery of downtown and to emphasize the importance of the arts to the vitality of our city's life. Mark DeMuro has sold works by Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, Matisse, Degas, Willem deKooning, Mark Rothko, Milton Avery, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg, Keith Haring, Sol Lewitt, Yayoi Kusama, Rashid Johnson, Gilbert & George, Damien Hirst, Robert Mapplethorpe, Vik Muniz, Wayne Thiebaud, William Wegman, Christo, Louise Bourgeois, and many others. He is the owner and director of Air Mattress Gallery, showing works by established and emerging artists.

Mark DeMuro won the Dean's Purchase Award from the University of Miami, has received the Ludwig K. Vogelstein Foundation Grant for Painting, and a Dow Material grant.
